Meet Lauren, Team Leader for All Saints View

Lauren has worked in the care sector for almost 6 years. Various roles starting from an HCA at the L&D working on all different wards supporting patients.  To working at Red House Court and other care homes through an agency support and providing care for clients in their own homes.  Within a school setting with special needs students supporting in a classroom setting, she then returned to the hospital and worked in the emergency department all through the pandemic up until February 2022.  She then became a care coordinator.

What made you want a career in the care sector?

Something I’ve known since quite young is I love helping people and seeing others happy. Whether that’s holding a door open for them or providing care.

What do you think is the biggest challenge of working in care?

I believe the biggest challenge when working within a care setting is that you create a bond with service users and often it’s hard to see the deterioration of their health.

What do you enjoy the most about your job in care?

I absolutely love knowing I help others daily and meeting people from all different walks of life and getting to know them.

What attracted you to work for Care is Central?

Something that attracted me to Care is central is that all the reviews and feedback from clients and carers was so lovely to read and having work with some of the carer previous as well as Emma I knew I’d not only be in great hands by being part of the team by also be part of a hardworking and supportive team and I’m very excited to get started.

What are you looking forward to most in your role?

I’m looking forward to meeting new people, that being the staff and the residents. I’m also looking forward to seeing people I worked with and cared for previously at red house. I’m very excited to develop my carer and progress with the company furthering my knowledge and experience.
