Meet Martyna, Senior Carer at All Saints View
What has been your biggest challenge in your career to date?
The biggest challenge in my career has been to decide to go back to care. I am a qualified teacher and I left care for a couple of months to work with small children. After only a few weeks I felt that I missed the care work so decided to leave the nursery and go back to what I really wanted to do.
What are you most proud of in your career?
I am proud that I can combine my busy work and home life along with my NVQ training.
What does high-quality care or ‘doing care differently’ mean to you?
To me it means to respect people’s wishes and rights, to listen to them and not to judge people by their choices.
What do you think makes Care is Central different?
Care is central is the place where residents and employees feel safe and valued.
What attracts you to Care is Central?
I feel that I can further develop my career in care. I enjoy being part of a team and the fact that I can count on the management team and my colleagues for assistance and advice.
