Our Managing Director Geraint Williams was excited to attend the ground-breaking ceremony for Marigold House in Leighton Buzzard, a 13 million development for elderly people in Central Bedfordshire.

The care home is set to open in Spring 2023. Care is Central will be managing the 63-roomed building offering the highest quality of care within wonderful facilities. Alongside the main contractor, Farrans, the landmark occasion was celebrated by Councillor Brian Saunders, Chairman of Central Bedfordshire Council who did the honours with a spade to symbolically break the ground. Several residents from Westlands Care Home and other VIP visitors including Councillor Carole Hegley, the Executive Member for Adult Social Care and Councilor Eugene Ghent, the Executive member for Housing and Assets, also attended the ceremony and enjoyed an exhibition of the proposed building.

Geraint Williams, Managing Director of Care is Central said. “It was lovely to celebrate the start of this incredible new build with the many organisations and dedicated people involved with this ambitious project. We are looking forward to welcoming our first residents in the Spring of 2023 and supporting people to live long and happy lives in a wonderful home. The facilities will be second-to-none and we are determined to match this with our quality of care.”

Care is Central is set to open two more Care Homes over the next 4-5 years in their commitment to offering flexible, high quality and accessible care services to the people of Central Bedfordshire.
