Care is Central is proud to announce we have received a rating of ‘Overall Good’ from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following a recent inspection.

The report praised the standard of care provided and our dedication to providing choice, commenting ‘People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives…Staff were passionate about putting people at the centre of their care and recognised the importance of enabling people to maintain their independence”. The report also noted that the care given was ‘kind, sensitive and caring’ and that ‘the provider continuously sought opportunities to improve the quality and standard of service”.

The ‘Good’ rating was given following an inspection at Lavender Court which covers all seven independent living schemes. We are particularly pleased to have received a ‘Good’ rating across all of the five key areas the inspection addresses which includes whether the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-lead.

Harpreet Chohan, Interim MD for Care is Central responded.

“We are very proud of the acknowledgment from CQC that we provide a high standard of care. I was delighted to see them reference our strong values and culture as one of our key drivers is to create a compassionate and inclusive environment where staff feel valued, and our residents feel safe, happy and genuinely cared for.

I would like to thank the whole team for their dedication and hard work throughout this process. I know they will continue to work tirelessly to maintain and improve upon this rating and ensure we continue to provide excellent care to those who need it.”

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. As the chief regulatory body, they make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate high-quality care.
